Passive knee exoskeletons in functional tasks: Biomechanical effects of a SpringExo coil-spring on squats

چکیده

Abstract Passive wearable exoskeletons are desirable as they can provide assistance during user movements while still maintaining a simple and low-profile design. These be useful in industrial tasks where an ergonomic device could aid load lifting without inconveniencing them reducing fatigue stress the lower limbs. The SpringExo is coil-spring design that aids knee extension. In this paper, we describe muscle activation of flexors extensors from seven healthy participants repeated squats. outcome measures timings key events squat, flexion angle, rectus femoris bicep femoris, foot pressure characteristics participants. assess possible effects operations reduced effort muscles desired ascent phase changing kinematics. results show significantly decreased (−2%) affecting either or activations descent. This implies perform descent added with effort. exoskeleton showed other on biomechanics user, increasing average squat time (+0.02 s) maximum (+0.1 s), decreasing angle (−4°). has no effect loading placement, is, did not have to revise their stance using device.

the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

Effects of Textually-Enhanced Reading Tasks and Strategic Pre-Task Planning on Learning English Passive Voice

In the realm of second language acquisition (SLA), task-based language teaching (TBLT) and input enhancement (IE) have been the focus of a great number of studies. However, the idea of investigating the effects of focus on form instruction through input-enhanced tasks along with pre-task planning time as one of the features of task-based language teaching has been rarely explored in the field o...
